Musician Jacob Sorenson wrote this song as a tribute to Eric Turner, who was tragically killed in a vehicle accident in 2022. Eric was employed at East Broad Top Railroad, where he was working to restore Locomotive 16. When he wasn’t working at the railroad, he spent many weekends volunteering there with his girlfriend, Shannon, who he married there in September 2021.
This song is a beautiful tribute to Eric. The Eric Turner Memorial Welding Scholarship has been created to remember Eric and also assist a future welder in their education for the field.
