Altoona Area Dealerships have been participating in the Stuckey Automotive Food Bank Challenge since October 17th.
The 5 groups gathered to count the items collected and turn them over to the St. Vincent De Paul’s food for families soup kitchen.
The items will fill holiday food boxes for between 350 and 400 families.
“It’s no secret that we’ve all been impacted in one way, shape or form with inflation and hardships this year. But it’s the recognition that we’re all very, very blessed that we can still manage to give, even just a little bit and that’s what today is all about.”
“We have been blessed by the community. We’ve been well supported. People have gone out of their way to help us; that’s why we’re able to treat the people good, because of the support we get. So there are many different groups and individuals that help and that really makes a difference.”
