The Stonycreek Rendezvous celebrated its 33rd year the annual event has taken place Saturday.
It is held at Greenhouse Park yearly and is a canoeing event on the Stonycreek River.
The afternoon forecast was filled with rain today. That kind of gloomy weather can oftentimes limit an outdoor event, and possibly lead to a postponement or cancelation, but event organizers said in this case the rain has the opposite effect.
Organizers of the Stonycreek Rendezvous said not only is the rain not putting a damper on the event, but it may have made it better.
Organizers said the rendezvous’ continued growth is exceeding their expectations this year.
