In State College Borough Council and Mayor Ezra Nanes hosted a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony with the Mayor the Ukranian City Nizhyn.
The signing, making State College and Nizhyn officially Sister Cities.
The Mayor of Nizhyn was emotional, as he talked about what’s happening in Ukraine, his gratitude for the support Americans have shown toward supporting Ukraine and the establishment of becoming a Sister-City.
“Tonight is not about war. This moment, this Sister City agreement is about kinship. International kinship.”
