Route 56 reopened Monday night after being closed for several hours as crews cleaned up the scene of a cement truck rollover.
911 officials in Somerset County say a truck driver was hospitalized Monday afternoon following a rollover crash on Route 56.
Authorities say the single-vehicle crash occurred just before 2 p.m. when a cement truck overturned.
Officials say the driver was transported to Conemaugh Hospital and the extent of the driver’s injuries is unknown at this time.
Dispatchers confirmed that Route 56 has been closed, between Berwick Road and the Scalp Level exit, while crews work to clean up the scene.
