Richland High School Water Line Break

Officials say the freezing temperatures caused a water pipe to break Sunday night at Richland High School.

Authorities say the flooding started in the guidance area and made its way through the floor all the way down to the main office.

The leak was discovered around 9:45 p.m. by the director of facilities as he was checking the grounds over the security camera.

Officials say the school’s water flow alarms did not go off.

The superintendent is blaming the cold temperatures for the break and says it caused approximately $250,000 in damages.
