With health issues and those with special needs at Disney hosting a 5k this weekend. This was the Pixie Dust Wishes Race to Neverland at Tom Furse Memorial Park in Ferguson Township, Saturday. The organization has raised well over $10,000 annually to help fund the Disney World trips and help fund two new wishes this weekend.
Event was in honor of two children who recently passed away that were passed wish recipients.
“Our event today is also in memory of them. So Eddie, as a little boy from Tyrone who passed away in May and and is from Lake Lynn, Pennsylvania, and he passed away in September. So we are excited to grant these two wishes in their memory.”
Organizers say about 240 people took part in the run and walk. Director said they got more support over the past six years to help them grow.
