Police say a man wanted for rape in the state of Oklahoma was arrested in Clearfield County over the weekend.
Authorities say early Sunday morning, officers conducted a traffic stop along Bridge Street for a vehicle with no rear lights.
Police say the male driver, who was later identified as 35-year-old Anthony Turner, claimed that he was from Texas and had just moved to Clearfield County.
Upon further investigation, authorities say officers learned of his true identity and that he wanted in the state of Oklahoma on charges of first-degree rape of a child under the age of 16.
Police say Turner was taken into custody and is being housed at the Clearfield County Jail where he awaits extradition to Oklahoma.
