After suffering a leg injury against Northwestern on October 1st, Smith has been taking a caution lap
Luckily the pit stop for Smith happened during the bye week
Number 1 sustained the leg injury in the first quarter against Northwestern, Smith spent the rest of the game on the sideline with his right leg in a boot
But as Penn State get’s ready to face one of the best defense’s in the nation the Nittany Lions will need him
The Wolverines defense ranks 5th in points allowed 5th in yards allowed and tied for 4th in sacks
After the bye-week Head Coach James Franklin said Yesterday that Smith will possibly be back on the track for the top 10 matchup
