New Arts Center Ribbon Cutting At Saint Francis University

A ribbon cutting was held this afternoon for a brand new Arts Center and Theatre at Saint Francis University in Loretto Borough.

With hopes to honor long time Director and Theatre Professor Kenny Resinski, who passed away 11 years ago, organizers held fundraising events over the years to raise enough money to transform an old garage into a Black Box Theatre.

After receiving large monetary gifts for the project, the University decided to construct a brand new Arts Center.

Inside of the Connors Family Fine Arts Center is where the Resinski Black Box Theatre is located.

Resinski’s wife Bonnie says it was always her husbands dream to create a theatre like this one.

The 15,000 square foot project began a ceremonial groundbreaking in 2021, with over 500 donors contributing to the new facility
