The Johnstown Housing Authority also held a Christmas party today for former Prospect residents where some of them got to participated in some holiday cheer.
The party was hosted by the Prospect Community Center on Crouse Ave in Johnstown.
A small meal was prepared and residents participated in holiday crafts and took pictures with Santa. The former residents had to leave the their community due to structural issues but the Housing Authority announced that it expects to begin repairs
“Its just a nice time to do this with the holiday season. We have been very happy that we have been able to give them some good news lately and tell them that we are proceeding with repairs. Still going to be a long process, a lot of work to do and we have got to do it safely.
but the main thing is that they are going to get to come home if they are ready to.”
