We begin tonight with a Jefferson County woman behind bars, accused of failing to report the rape and sexual abuse of a teenage girl.
Police say in March of 2023, 54-year-old Michael Sest raped the teen at a residence in Big Run Borough.
Police say that the girl had reported the rape to 36-year-old Melissa Sest but was told that she is lying.
Police say the teen also reported that she had been sexually abused by Michael Sest for years but was again called a liar.
Melissa Sest is charged with felonies for endangering child welfare and intimidation.
She is being housed in the Jefferson County Jail on $50 thousand dollars bail.
