Indiana County coroner Jerry Overman has identified the deceased victim of Sunday’s early morning mass shooting at the Chevy Chase Community Center in White Township.
Officials say 22-year-old Jamar Montae Porterfield Herriot Jr., of Homestead, Pa, was reportedly attending a party at the community center when he and eight others were shot.
Overman has ruled Herriot’s death as a homicide and noted that he was pronounced dead at the scene.
State police say the shooting remains under investigation and no suspects are in custody.
