Authorities in Blair County say a Hollidaysburg man has pleaded guilty to fatally stabbing his brother in 2021.
Officials say Vasudev Aswathappa appeared in court Monday where he entered a plea to charges of third-degree murder, evidence tampering and false reports to law enforcement.
Police arrested Aswathappa in July of 2021 following an investigation into the death of his 24-year-old brother Suryadev.
Investigators say his brother’s body was found in the basement of a home in Frankstown Township.
As part of the plea agreement, prosecutors say Aswathappa will serve 20 to 40 years in prison.
