Dale Borough Shooting Suspect Returned To Pennsylvania

The suspect accused of shooting a woman in Dale Borough earlier this year, causing her to crash her car, has returned to Pennsylvania.

Authorities confirming  that Tyree Carter was extradited from Georgia on Monday and is now being housed in the Cambria County Prison on $1 million bond.

Carter was arrested in early March, in Henry County, Georgia, by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force, months after he reportedly fled the area after shooting a woman in the head, while she was inside her car.

Police say the shooting reportedly occurred following a confrontation in the middle of David Street in which Carter is alleged to have damaged the woman’s car.

Authorities say the woman was shot as she attempted to drive away.

Police say the woman survived the shooting and later told police that Carter had threatened her just weeks before the incident.
