A federal lawsuit filed by three former employees of Centre County-based construction contractor Glenn O. Hawbaker has now been classified as a class action lawsuit.
That means the three will represent the close to 1,400 employees who worked on prevailing wage jobs for the State College-based company.
The federal suit stems from the criminal charges filed by the state attorney general’s office against Hawbaker over diverted pension and other employee benefit money.
The company paid over $20 million in restitution while denying any wrongdoing.
