800 People came out to raise money for a good cause at the 15th annual Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out event at the Johnstown Conference Center.
Girls Night Out began as a pay it forward project by Taunia Oechslin, a breast cancer fighter who was diagnosed at age 36 and succumbed to the disease in 2009.
The event’s goal is to educate women about breast cancer, the value of early detection and the importance of proper treatment.
Those at tonight’s event enjoyed dinner while raising money through silent, live, and pink auctions.
All proceeds from the event go to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center. And to date the Taunia Oechslin Girls Night Out Foundation donated more than $1-million dollars to the Joyce Murtha Breast Care Center.
