State police in Bedford County have identified the victim of Wednesday’s early morning fatal crash on the Pleasantville Mountain.
Investigators say 43-year-old Matthew Myers, of Johnstown, was killed when his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of travel and struck a pickup truck head-on.
Police say Myers was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say the driver of the pickup truck, a 32-year-old Johnstown man, was transported to Conemaugh Hospital with suspected serious injuries.
Troopers say the crash occurred just after 6 a.m. and closed Route 56, otherwise known as Quaker Valley Road, for several hours.
