The 14th annual Community Christmas Dinner was held this afternoon at the Christ Centered Community Church in Johnstown.
The Church’s Pastor says this dinner is made possible by the community’s generosity and that this year’s meal was challenging to host with the increase in food prices.
People from around the region were there making their own contributions while visiting.
“Today had been just absolutely wonderful. We have received so much support from the community. And the thing I love the most is when people walk up to us and say I want to thank you for what you’re doing.”
“It really embodies everything Christmas is about. The Christmas spirit is just everywhere in this building. Having all of the community members here, and all of the wonderful contributions that Reverend King has.”
The event is put on by many community volunteers which organizers say is what keeps this event happening each year.
