The Central Cambria School Board is weighing its options on how to proceed regarding a possible consolidation.
A feasibility study was made available to the public this evening highlighting the districts options moving forward.
Option 1 is continuing to operate both elementary schools at status quo which officials say would require a tax increase through 2026.
Option 2 is integrating grades 3rd through 5th at Cambria Elementary which the feasibility study found would save the district just shy of $500 thousand dollars in the first year alone.
And would come with a smaller tax increase than option 1.
If the grade reconfiguration is possible
The board plans to meet again on May 13th to vote before passing the annual budget for June
