A Centre County man is charged with raping a baby. Police say the Victim is just 1-year-old. 26-year-old Andrew Ramage of Philipsburg was arrested and arraigned Friday morning.
State Police say their investigation began in January when they met with Ramage, along with a Children and Youth Services Caseworker, and another person. That person first noticed irritation in the infant’s private area. Eventually, Police say multiple Doctors told them the injuries looked to be the result of a Sexual Assault, a repeated, forceful assault.
Late last month, after Police say they had continued their investigation, they heard from Ramage, but his story was changing. Then on March 27th, Court Documents indicate Ramage called 9-1-1 from the Mt. Nittany Medical Center to report a Sexual Assault and Police say he admitted to digitally penetrating the infant girl.
Ramage was charged with rape of a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault, and simple assault. He remains free on $250,000 unsecured bail.
