69th annual Bennetts Valley Labor Day Homecoming

The 69th annual Bennetts Valley Labor Day Homecoming came back today

For the first time since 2019.

Hundreds of residents turned out for the for the event which was kicked off with a parade through Weedville.

Organizers say especially with the elementary school being shut down

This event helps keep the Bennetts Valley traditions alive for the present & future.

“We lost our school and the school is what brought the community together, and this festival is a big part of it. families come back just for the labor day celebration, and everybody here, we’re such a tight community and we’re all like family.”

Festivities on the elementary school grounds included Music, Arts and Crafts Vendors, Children’s Activities, Historical Displays and Food.
