West Branch Girls’ Volleyball Coach Terry Trude, who has more than 720 wins as the head coach of the program, discusses with Referee Rich Deleo the target on the back of the West Branch program as an annual prowess in district 6 and the state.
Terry tells Rich that he prepares his team for every competing team to come at them with their best shot. With his teams only losing 4 conference matches in his 30-year career at West Branch, the team won the D6 titles twice (with one being in 2022), and competed in the state final in 2022.
With the ICC realigning the conference, West Branch has lost their rivals, Bellwood-Antis, but have picked up some new rivalries.
“The girls taking pride in the culture we’ve set up and wanting to be relevant,” is what makes Coach Trude proud of his program.
West Branch recently won on a national level – winning their bracket at the KSA tournament in Florida.
