Threat Made Against Camtran Bus Driver

Authorities with the Johnstown Police Department say a local man is behind bars after he allegedly threatened to shoot a CamTran bus driver last week.

Police say the incident occurred last Friday afternoon when 20-year-old Quavonte Eggleton attempted to board a CamTran bus while not wearing a shirt, which is against company policy.

According to the affidavit, witnesses told police that Eggleton was asked to exit the bus, at which time he reportedly became irate and began shouting obscenities at the bus driver.

Prior to finally exiting the bus, police say Eggleton reportedly told the driver, “I know your face; I will return and shoot this bus up.”

Authorities say later that day, Eggleton returned to the bus station and continued to threaten the staff.

Police say when officers approached Eggleton and told him that he was being detained, he reportedly pulled out his phone and began recording the altercation while attempting to walk away.

Authorities say Eggleton was eventually taken into custody and was booked into the Cambria County Prison.

According to online court records, he faces several charges, including making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and his bail was set at $60,000.
