A section of U.S. Route 322 eastbound/Upper Flat Rock Road in Centre County was closed for several hours Saturday night after a tanker truck crashed over an embankment on Port Matilda Mountain.
The crash happened at about 7:40 p.m. on the 2400 block of Upper Flat Rock Road between Philipsburg and Port Matilda, according to Hope Fire Company.
One person was injured in the crash, and it took two hours for emergency crews to extricate the patient from the vehicle, which had come to rest in a small stream 75 feet down the embankmment.
