State police in Bedford County have filed charges against a State College man for his role in a fatal, head-on crash last year in Bedford Township.
Police say 37-year-old Jeffrey Miles Junior was reportedly attempting to pass a slower vehicle in the Northbound lane of US Route 220.
Investigators say for some reason Miles crossed into the opposite lane and struck another vehicle being driven by a 17-year-old girl.
Police say the teen was killed and her passenger was transported with serious injuries.
Miles faces several charges including homicide by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter and aggravated assault by vehicle.
