Thursday was the official kick-off for the 33rd Annual Showcase for Commerce in Johnstown. Showcase for Commerce is a nationally renowned business and industry trade show where more than 100 businesses both locally and around the world set up exhibits showcasing their business in hopes of earning contracts.
US Senator Bob Casey was there meeting with industry leaders to learn more about defense products made in PA and specifically in our region. Sen. Casey saying: “the best things about it is you learn that while we’re manufacturing. We’re innovating, and if we keep innovating, our economy will always be dynamic and grow. It’s a in someways it’s a testament to the value of manufacturing not just for our war fighters but manufacturing for the larger economy.”
Assistant Secretary of Defense Dr. Laura Taylor-Kale was the Keynote Speaker.
