Authorities say Trazis Durham died at Penn Highlands Hospital Friday Afternoon after being found unresponsive at SCI Huntingdon.
Durham was found guilty of first degree murder as a teenanger in the 1996 murder for hire deaths of an Aliquippa couple.
He was serving a 40 year to life sentence and had been incarcerated at SCI Huntingdon since March of 1998.
Officials with the State’s Department Of Corrections say an investigation is underway after a convicted killer was found unresponsive in his cell late last week.
