State College Police and the Centre County coroner’s office are investigating the death of a 21-year-old Penn State student over the weekend.
Authorities say the student was found unresponsive early Sunday morning, by his roommate, following a night of “excessive drinking.”
Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that the death was accidental and that the student’s alcohol consumption was a contributing factor.
Authorities say the coroner’s office is awaiting toxicology reports.
