Penfield Man Taken Into Custody

State police in DuBois say a Penfield man was taken into custody earlier this month following over a year-long child porn investigation.

Troopers say the investigation into 32-year-old Travis Kramer began in August of last year after authorities learned that he had reportedly been sending sexually explicit photographs to a 16-year-old girl in Elk County.

Authorities say the teen admitted to exchanging nude photographs with Kramer but said that they were “never sexually involved” with one another.

According to the affidavit, troopers say the girl also told investigators that Kramer would often send her nude photos of other girls as well.

Upon further investigation, authorities say they obtained search warrants to search Kramer’s home and devices.

Police say seizure of said devices revealed that Kramer was in possession of numerous images of child pornography, and also confirmed the sexually explicit conversations that he had with the teen in Elk County.

Troopers say Kramer was questioned earlier this year, where he admitted to sending the nude photographs to the girl, but also stated that the two were “never alone with each other.”

Investigators say Kramer then admitted to downloading at least 20 sexually explicit images of other girls from Porn sites.

Police say one of the images that was found on Kramer’s devices appeared to show a girl, as young as 10-years-old, engaged in sexually explicit activity.

Troopers say Kramer admitted to possessing the images of child pornography and claimed that he downloaded the images because “he was depressed and hanging out with the wrong crowd.”

Online court records show that Kramer was arraigned on charges of possessing child pornography, disseminating photos of child sex acts, and corruption of minors on November 2nd.

Kramer is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Friday, Dec. 2nd.
