Large Somerset County Drug Bust

Acting Somerset County District Attorney Molly Metzgar announced the sentencing of a Central City man who was charged earlier this year in what authorities labeled as “one of the largest drug busts in Somerset County history.”

Authorities say Jordan Rasbach, 36, was sentenced Wednesday to serve 13 to 26 years in state prison.

According to online court records, Rasbach had previously pleaded guilty to various drug manufacturing charges, as well as charges of DUI and theft.

“I am very proud to get a drug dealer that has been a danger to our community for years off of the street and put him behind bars for a substantial period. I thank the Attorney General’s Office for lending their resources and expertise to assist in achieving these convictions, with special thanks to SDAG David Gorman for his efforts in Somerset County,”

Investigators say Rasbach would travel to Philadelphia, where he would purchase a “massive supply” of heroin and methamphetamine, and then resell it locally.
