A Lancaster County man is facing over 3,000 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually abusing more than a dozen residents of a non-profit personal care home.
Charges against James Zook were announced back in February.
He worked at the Faith Friendship Ministries Villa for 16 years.
His role was a caretaker for people with mental illness and eventually became an activities coordinator.
According to court documents the abuse started back in 2019 when prosecutors say he touched victims inappropriately sometimes more than once a week.
Zook was arrested in November 2022 and police say more victims came forward after that.
The District Attorney’s Office says that a sentencing date has not yet been set.
