Johnstown Man Facing Charges

Authorities with the Richland Township Police Department say a Johnstown-area man is facing charges, accused of providing a juvenile female with marijuana.

Police say they began investigating 27-year-old Christopher Ouellette after receiving a child welfare complaint from CYS.

Authorities say the juvenile told police that she and Ouellette had “smoked weed together” on multiple occasions.

According to the affidavit, police say Ouellette reportedly began providing the drugs to the girl after an incident in which he allegedly found her crying and told her that “it would calm her down.”

Upon further investigation, police say Ouellette would allegedly “threaten” to stop providing the marijuana to the girl if she did not complete her school work and chores.

Police noted that the girl’s mother was initially unaware of the behavior but reportedly later confronted Ouellette about supplying the girl with marijuana.

Authorities say, according to the complaint, the girl claimed that she and Ouellette continued to smoke weed together and would “hide it” from the girl’s mother.

Police say when they questioned Ouellette about the accusations, he reportedly admitted to smoking with the girl but denied supplying her with the drugs.

Ouellette faces charges of child endangerment, corruption of minors, and misdemeanor marijuana possession, according to online court records.
