Charges have been filed against a Johnstown area man following an investigation into alleged animal abuse and neglect.
Officials say the investigation into 67-year-old Daniel Gates began in late November after authorities received a complaint from the landlord of a property, located along Dorothy avenue in Cambria county
Gates is accused of abandoning and neglecting multiple dogs at the property
Police also searched a secondary residence where they discovered 15 cats and 10 of which were dead
