Officials with the Hidden Valley Ski Resort announced Monday that a morning fire has closed the resort for the day.
911 officials say crews were dispatched to the resort, around 8:15 a.m., for a report of a fire in the kitchen area.
While resort officials say the fire was minor in nature, operations were cancelled for the day.
Anyone who purchased tickets for the day is asked to contact the Seven Springs Pass Office for a refund/exchange.
Fire officials have not provided any comment on the investigation or cause of the blaze.
However, Somerset County dispatchers say multiple resort workers were treated for smoke inhalation.
“At approximately 7:50 am on Monday morning, Hidden Valley Resort experienced a small fire at the Clocktower Restaurant kitchen. Neighboring fire departments responded immediately and the fire was extinguished. Three employees were transported to the local hospital for medical evaluation. Ski and resort operations will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2023, while the resort team works with utility providers to restore service to the Resort. On Tuesday, Hidden Valley will resume regular operations as scheduled,”
