The Blair County District Attorney’s Office provided an update on Friday into the Investigation into accusations that a Teacher at the Hollidaysburg Area School District brought a copy of the controversial book: “Gender Queer” to her Classroom.
The School received numerous complaints from Parents beginning in November after Officials say the Teacher reportedly “Displayed the book on her desk”. Authorities say that while the Investigation is still ongoing, Police have found no evidence to support filing any criminal charges against the Teacher.
The book, which is described as a quote: “Graphic Memoir about Sexuality” — has been the center of controversy around the County as Schools have worked to ban the text from its curriculums and libraries.
