A 31-yeard-old Ferndale woman has been charged, accused of trying to run down two people with a truck.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, on Sunday Lacey Hamilton, Vickroy Avenue, and two people had a heated argument at Hamilton’s home.
During the argument, Hamilton allegedly told the two that she was going to “kill” them.
The two people told police that Hamilton was “drunk and high.”
According to the affidavit, after the two people left the home following the argument, Hamilton drove a red Dodge Truck on a sidewalk along Ferndale Avenue and tried to strike the two — who were on foot.
Both people were able to avoid being hit.
When talking with the police, the two people spotted Hamilton driving in the truck.
According to the affidavit, after police stopped the vehicle, Hamilton told an officer that she had drank two Twisted Teas.
Hamilton has been charged with two second-degree felony counts of aggravated assault, two first-degree misdemeanor counts of terroristic threats, two second-degree misdemeanor counts of recklessly endangering another person, misdemeanor driving under the influence and a summary offense.
She was arraigned Monday before District Judge Michael Zungali, of Hastings, and was sent to the Cambria County prison in lieu of 10 percent of a $40,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 23 before District Judge Susan Gindlesperger, of Upper Yoder Township.
An online court docket did not list an attorney for Hamilton Tuesday afternoon.
