Take a look at this cute dog who had to be rescued earlier today from the Stoneycreek River.
The Captain of the Johnstown Fire Department, Randy Price says when crews got on scene, the dog was running along the top of the river wall.
Then, crews put ropes in place, went down over the wall and was able to get the dog.
Fire officials say she was scared at first but eventually cooperated to get out of the river.
Here’s is what is next for the dog who is being called “River”
“Well, her journey is going up to Dr. Brady Hamity, the Forest Hills Vet. She already has an appointment. Project MIA was transporting the dog to Dr. Brady Hamity’s office.”
Fire officials also say it’s unclear of where “River” is from but seems to be well taken care of.
Officials add that “River” just sustained some scratches from the incident.
