Authorities say two inmates at the Cambria County Prison suffered “multiple puncture wounds” during an incident Sunday afternoon.
Investigators say prison officials were able to thwart the incident within a few minutes.
Officials say both inmates were transported to a local hospital and are expected to survive their injuries.
One of the inmates has since been released from the hospital and the other is expected to be released soon.
Authorities say Cambria County Detectives are investigating the incident and further details will be provided as they are made available.
