One person is dead after a building collapse this afternoon in Blairsville.
It happened at a decrepit former school building on the 100 block of South Walnut Street.
Blairsville Borough Police say 2 men were on the roof of the building assessing it for demolition when the roof collapsed.
Officials say both men fell 3 stories landing in the basement.
One person was was able to get out but the other person was reported missing and trapped in the debris.
Authorities say the person missing was found and flown to a Pittsburgh Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The other man was taken to a hospital in Monroeville and is stable conditon.
Officials in Blairsville are investigating the incident.
