Bedford Man Facing Charges

Authorities in Blair County say a Bedford man is facing charges, accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl last year.

According to the affidavit, troopers say they began investigating 29-year-old Scott Davis Jr. following an incident last March at a home in Juniata Township.

Authorities say, according to the victim, Davis had allegedly woke her up while she was sleeping and led her to a room in the upstairs portion of the residence.

Troopers say Davis allegedly forced the girl to perform sexual acts and inappropriately touched her repeatedly.

Police say Davis then drove the teen, and her sister, back to their residence in Hollidaysburg, at which time he reportedly told the girl not to say anything to anyone because it would “ruin his life.”

Troopers say after they were notified of the alleged assault, a warrant was issued for Davis’ arrest as police were unable to make contact with him for several months.

Investigators say in June of this year, they learned that Davis had been taken into custody on a probation violation and was being housed at the Blair County Prison.

Authorities say Davis reportedly denied an initial interview with police about the accusations.

On Thursday, state police filed charges of aggravated indecent assault, corruption of minors and statutory sexual assault against Davis.

His bail has been set at $100,000.
