Bedford County Man Sentence Upheld

A Bedford County man convicted of nearly killing his 6-month-old daughter in 2020 had his sentence upheld in the state’s Superior Court last week.

Last March, Jensun Claycomb was sentenced to serve 6 to 15 years in state prison after being found guilty in the near death of his infant child.

Police alleged that Claycomb caused the child to suffer cardiac and respiratory distress after “shaking her.”

Court documents show that Claycomb later filed an appeal in the case, arguing that the prosecution’s evidence in his trial was “insufficient.”

Last week, three Pennsylvania Superior Court judges denied his appeal and unanimously voted to uphold his sentence.

Claycomb is currently serving his sentence at SCI Mercer.
