The K41361 is a legendary steam locomotive that has never been equaled in power and efficiency, It rolled out of Pennsylvania Railroad Juniata Shop in May of 1918 and served passengers for decades before being idled for repairs in 1957
Museum administrators say they are about $2 million dollars short of their fundraising goal, but once they achieve that goal they expect the project to be completed in three years
Organizers say once the locomotive is restored it will serve as ambassador across the state
