Authorities with the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that the 6-year-old boy who was injured in Monday’s crash in Blacklick Township has passed away.
Officials identified the boy as Vince Rietscha IV, of Ebensburg.
Authorities say the boy was flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh following the two-vehicle crash on Duman Road (Route 271) which also claimed the life of a 23-year-old Nanty Glo man.
Investigators say the boy died in the hospital Monday night, just before midnight.
