Skeletal Remains Found In Antis Township

Officials in Blair County have begun investigating human remains that were discovered earlier today.

According to the Blair County Coroner’s Office, investigators were called just before 11 a.m., After a hunter reportedly found skeletal remains along Rose Yard Road in Antis Township.

The Blair County Coroners Office is asking the community for their support in helping to identify the skeletal remains found earlier today.

Upon a preliminary examination of the remains, it appears that the decedent may have been a white male, between 40-60 years old, medium build, with short brown or red hair, approximately six foot tall and has past surgically repaired fractures to his right lower leg and left forearm.

Identification is being attempted with the plates used to repair the fractures.

The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing, led by the Hollidaysburg Police Department.
