“Absolutely see something, say something.” says Ferndale Superintendent, Jeff Boyer. He reacted to Tuesdays incident, at the Claysburg Elementary School, where a janitor was accused of possessing over 70 photos of child pornography on his phone. He allegedly put “secret admirer notes on a students desk.
“If you’ve worked in education, I’ll just use the example 20 years. Wherever you’ve worked, if you are around students, you have to go back and write to every single one of those employers and have them fill out a form that basically says there were no issues.”
It is still unclear how long the Claysburg man, charged on Tuesday, was working for the school. What we do know from state police is that he did not have a criminal record, before applying for a job there. That’s reportedly how he got that position.
