Officials In Salisbury Ask Residents To Conserve Water

Because of recent flooding, one of the hardest hit areas is Somerset County Borough where officials announced that the Borough is currently under a mandatory water conservation.

The Salisbury Borough Secretary Treasurer told us Tonight, the water doesn’t need to be boiled, but the borough wants customers to avoid excessive usage, such as washing cars, power washing or filling pools.

She said the flooding experienced this week caused damage to the main water line from the spring.

The heavy rain on Tuesday caused flooding causing evacuations in Meyersdale Borough.

Many roadways were also closed at the height of the flooding.
