Officials in Somerset County confirmed that commissioners unanimously voted Tuesday to relieve now former 911 coordinator/deputy EMA director Brad Lavan from his position.
Authorities did not specify the reason for Lavan’s departure but say that his last day of work was last Friday.
Last month, officials say Lavan was placed on administrative leave for an unspecified reason and officials only described the situation as a “personal matter.”
“It’s not because the county wants to or doesn’t want to say anything, it’s just any time there’s a personal matter for the protection of the employee and for the county we don’t comment on those things.”
Lavan was hired as the 911 coordinator in 2019.
