Local School Security

We’ll continue to follow the threats made at Westmont yesterday but 2 other schools had threats in the last few days.

Yesterday St. Mary’s School District got a tip mid-day of a potential threat and decided to finish out the day.

Even though the district contacted several police entities and according to authorities the threat ended up not being credible, several parents voiced their concern on Facebook for not being informed about the situation.

We reached out to St. Mary’s for additional information, but have yet to hear back.

Forest Hills School District also received a threat over the Weekend.

Superintendent Dr. David Lehman says they are having school because the threat did not directly involve the school and the Adams Township Police Department conducted quote an exhaustive investigation and found the threat was not credible.

Authorities say Forest Hills is also adding police in each building on campus for at least the next few days.

“We would want to notify the parents and make them feel secure that their children are safe here at the school. It’s one of the safest places for the school. However, we do need their cooperation and need them to keep an eye on what’s going on.”

Authorities also ask parents to keep an eye out to help in cutting threats out.
