A new State Appeals Court hearing for convicted child abuser Jerry Sandusky was held early Wednesday in Harrisburg. The hearing was held before a three Judge panel from the State Superior Court.
Sandusky’s Legal Council is asking for a new trial, claiming new evidence, concerning repressed memory information and other issues, has come to light about the accusers who testified that they were abused by Sandusky in his 2012 trial. But the Judges Wednesday were aggressive in questioning Sandusky’s Attorney, terming much of the so-called new evidence as either being in-admissible, or had already been previously ruled on. No decision was issued by the Judges.
Sandusky’s Legal Counsel afterwards saying if a new trial isn’t granted, they’ll still consider a State Supreme Court or Federal Court appeal.
